Kindness to Earth

Today’s Post is in honor of Earth Day, which was on April 22nd. The article has some good tips on being kind to Earth. After all, it is the only one we have.

Kindness to Earth isn’t hard work

Editor’s Note: I’d like to add one tip that is not on the list. Eat more plant-based foods and less meat. Here’s a TIME magazine article with some more detail.

Acts of kindness meant much to family

I’ve often thought that the true measure of one’s life is how you are remembered when you have passed. Rarely do people remember your accomplishments, how much money you made, what kind of car you drove, etc. What they remember is how you treated others.

Today’s post is a thank you to family and friends who made a brother’s passing easier by remembering his kindness at the memorial service.

Heartworks Yard Sale

Today’s post is a really inspirational story about a community yard sale that raises money to benefit local families in need. My favorite part is this quote from one of group’s founder.

“This is not charity,” said the group’s founder, social worker Megan McDowell. “Charity separates people into givers and people who don’t have. I want this group to give from the recognition that we all go through traumas, and we all know how much even a small act of kindness can mean.”
