About Me
One of my passions is cooking. I find it creative and nurturing. I still consider myself a beginner as I didn’t grow up doing much cooking that didn’t come out of a box or can. I especially love to bake as I have a terrible sweet tooth. Luckily my co-workers are happy to consume the extras.
I also find it satisfying to eat real food that I prepared myself that is both healthier and more delicious. I find that using top quality ingredients, organic when I can, is key to making things that taste divine.
The name Cookie Chick comes from a Carvel Ice Cream commercial from the 80’s. I always thought it was funny. I don’t think I ever had Carvel Ice Cream.
As a side note, I’m a vegetarian, of the LOVe variety (Lacto-Ovo Vegetarian), which means I don’t eat animals but I do eat dairy and eggs.
