For the past 25 years, I have worked at the University of California, Irvine as a front-end web developer. The technology has changed dramatically in that time, but the need to create usable content has remained a constant.
My strengths lie in being able to organize information in a way that helps people accomplish what they need to quickly. I am also a good DIY person, utilizing the tools I have to extend and enhance what can be done. For that, I am eternally grateful to the WordPress community who have given me a virtual Swiss army knife to create websites.
In 2010, I helped create a new web publishing platform for the campus based on WordPress Multisite. I manage two large WordPress installations that host thousands of small websites for the campus. With few resources, we have been able to create a solution for other DIY website creators to share information easily and elegantly.
A new OIT website
We launched the new OIT website last week. It is a client, service-focused website driven by feedback from our advisory committee.
Office of Information Technology
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is the central computing department at the University of California, Irvine. I have been the main developer for this website for 25 years. The site was rebuilt and redesigned in 2022 focusing on the services we offer to the campus.
UCI Sites is a campus-wide solution for hosting small websites and blogs using WordPress Multisite. I helped create and have managed this service since 2010.
Faculty Websites is our companion service to UCI Sites. This is a web hosting solution created specifically for faculty research and lab needs . It is also built on WordPress Multisite.

The Zoom Help Center website was created in 2020 to assist UCI faculty, staff and students as Zoom became the primary method for meeting remotely during the Pandemic. I helped design and organize content to improve the user experience.
