Web Development
For the past 25 years, I have worked at the University of California, Irvine as a front-end web developer. The technology has changed dramatically in that time, but the need to create usable content has remained a constant.
My strengths lie in being able to organize information in a way that helps people accomplish what they need to quickly. I am also a good DIY person, utilizing the tools I have to extend and enhance what can be done. For that, I am eternally grateful to the WordPress community who have given me a virtual Swiss army knife to create websites.
In 2010, I helped create a new web publishing platform for the campus based on WordPress Multisite. I manage two large WordPress installations that host thousands of small websites for the campus. With few resources, we have been able to create a solution for other DIY website creators to share information easily and elegantly.
